xxNYCESPA”s
partnership with Walden University, an accredited online university, provides
members with another way to continue to grow professionally as they pursue
their careers.
xxWalden
University provides graduate-level programs to educators, and has done
so for 35 years. NYCESPA chose to partner with Walden because of the school’s
longstanding commitment to the education community and our shared goal
of helping administrators and teachers improve student achievement.
xxWalden’s
rigorous degree programs encourage educators to use what they learn to
solve the problems they face in their schools. Walden’s innovative
distance-learning formats offer educators the flexibility to study and
interact with expert faculty and fellow students while balancing work
and family commitments.

Teaching and Learning is designed for principals and practicing administrators
who want to lead their learning communities to higher achievement.

K–12 Educational Leadership. Each Ph.D. program prepares educators
to address the nation’s most pressing educational challenges by
helping them to become experts in specific areas of study.
• For teachers, Walden offers a Master of Science in Education with
10 specializations, including reading and literacy; math; science; technology;
and curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
• An Ed.D. in Teacher Leadership for teachers who want to have a
greater influence on the policy and practice of learning without leaving
the vibrant interactions of the K–12 classroom.
